Zopa Makes A Little Noise
After writing about Prosper last week I was SO PUMPED to see the type of comment back from Dave at Zopa. It was exciting to see Zopa taking a stance and bragging a bit. Here is Dave making a little noise despite the competition. Keep it up Dave!
Hi Chad,Dave from Zopa here - just wanted to say that we're more than just 'ticking'! We've just signed up our 50,000th member - which isn't bad :-)Prosper is very interesting to us - we think that some of their ideas are good, and some not so wonderful. We're going to be watching them very carefully over the next weeks and months - before we launch in the US sometime in Q2. Our belief is that Zopa is a much safer place for lenders - we have automatic diversification of lenders money and (as far as we can tell) a stronger credit team to weed out dodgy borrowers - but time will tell.We look forward to beating them on their home territory!

It is great to see services like these and it makes me excited for the future of finance in the technogical world.
